Which platforms are supported?
Instagram and TikTok. Instagram content is published directly to the connected account; TikTok video is delivered to the account's TikTok inbox as a draft for the owner to publish.
Does Autoposting Tool need my social media password?
No. Accounts are connected through the platform's own authorization screen. You sign in on Instagram or TikTok directly and approve the requested permissions there. Autoposting Tool only ever receives the access token the platform issues afterwards.
What exactly is stored?
The access tokens and account identifiers needed to publish on your behalf, the captions and media you upload, and the delivery status of each post. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Where is my content stored?
On your own server. Autoposting Tool is self-hosted, so uploaded videos and images, scheduled posts and access tokens live on infrastructure you control rather than on a shared service.
How do I revoke access?
Disconnect the account inside Autoposting Tool, or revoke access from the platform itself — Instagram under Settings → Apps and Websites, TikTok under Settings → Manage app permissions. Either action stops further publishing to that account immediately.
Why does TikTok content arrive as a draft instead of being posted?
Video is delivered into the TikTok inbox so the account owner reviews it inside the TikTok app and publishes it themselves. It keeps the final decision — and the final look of the post — with the person who owns the account.
Does the dashboard need to stay open for scheduled posts?
No. Scheduled posts are queued on the server and dispatched by a background worker when they are due, whether or not anyone is signed in at that moment.
What happens if a post fails?
The post is marked as failed and the error returned by the platform is stored with it, so the reason is visible in the dashboard rather than disappearing silently.
Can the same video go to several accounts?
Yes. Media is uploaded once and can be attached to posts for any combination of connected accounts, with a separate caption per platform if you want one.
